China gets a special edition of the 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S

ADVERTISEMENTS
To celebrate its 10th year in China, Porsche is offering a highly exclusive special-edition 911 Turbo S. Only ten units will be built of this special anniversary model, signifying one car for each year. Porsche’s first showroom in the country opened in Beijing in 2001. Since then, Porsche sales in China have steadily increased, from only 27 cars recorded in 2002 to 13,856 units sold in 2010. To date, there are 31 different Porsche showrooms in China.

Porsche Exclusive will be building this special 10 Year Anniversary Edition 911 Turbo S. It will be painted in a unique Gold Bronze finish that will be an awesome contrast to a carbonfiber front trunk lid, a set of black wheels, and dark headlight surrounds.

The 911’s interior will use a combination of leather and Alcantara that features golden stitching. It also has special carbon-fiber items that serve to highlight the door panels and door sills. Each car will have plaques that indicate the 911’s number in this limited production run that will be placed in the right-front fender and the glove box. Like other non-gold versions, this 911 Turbo S is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 3.8-liter flat-six engine that delivers 530 hp and can reach a top speed of 195 mph, distributing power through Porsche’s seven-speed, dual-clutch PDK transmission to all four corners.
